Oprah Winfrey’s Midas Touch On Weight Watchers

Oprah Winfrey's Midas Touch On Weight Watchers

The biggest weight winner in share capital yesterday was clearly the Weight Watchers as Oprah Winfrey’s Midas Touch helped skyrocket the company’s drowning stock.
Apparently Oprah Winfrey (TV presenter, actress, a business mogul) invested about $43 million, representing 10% of the organisation’s share capital. Within 24 hours, she had made a clear profit of $70 million. That is a lot of profit.

No Surprises

Struggling with her weight loss herself, Oprah is a definite entrepreneur to influence Weight Watchers. Perhaps her involvement will enable the business to produce more healthy and balanced weight loss diet; ultimately encouraging people to use the products.

According to USA TODAY, “Weight Watchers (WTW) concurrently announced an expansion of its brand beyond a pure focus on weight loss to a general emphasis on healthier, happier living.”

Oprah Winfrey’s Midas Touch

Oprah is definitely living the live she dreamt of living. She has many businesses generation various income passively and actively. If she can do it, so can you and I.

The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams. – Oprah Winfrey

It is also known that Oprah influenced the sales of other businesses like SPANX when she announced in one of her shows that she wears SPANX, women’s lingerie only and nothing else.

Lessons To The Entrepreneurs:

Using very influential people to endorse your product or service can make or break your business.
Also following them (in relation to your business model) on the social media platforms means you can gain access to their followers as well; and that can boost your followers too.

You can only make that sort of money working for yourself and not as an employee no matter how fat your salary may be.

“If there’s a lesson here, it’s one we’ve learned many times. Let’s put it in perspective. Suppose you make a really great salary working for someone else–$350,000 a year, for example. Add benefits, and your total take comes to maybe $455,000. Assume there are 220 workdays in a year–and your daily take is just over $2,000–or only $70.998 million less than Oprah made on Monday.” – INC.com

2. Work hard at what you do to earn the investment capital
3. “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more.” – Oprah Winfrey
4. Seriously, everything is achievable if you put your mind to it. If Oprah did it, so can you!
