Take your business online says the UK government

Take your business online says the UK government. The UK Government is helping British businesses to sell online by joining forces with international e-marketplace to make this happen.

How amazing this news is for all UK businesses particularly if you have ecommerce business or your business belongs to the retail sector.
The purpose of this government initiative is to enhance and increase UK’s exports and attract inward investment as well.

The British Trade Minister Lord Livingston launched the government support package on Monday, 8 September 2014 at the Autumn Fair at the NEC in Birmingham.
The aim is to encourage businesses of all sizes from across the UK to have access to a new suite of services to help boost their international trade through online channels.

UK Businesses will have access to a new suite of services to help boost their international trade through UKTI’s new e-Exporting Programme.

How To Get Started With Your Online Selling Programme:

The best time to get involved is now in order to take advantage of the busy Christmas month. But your business needs to be online to be able to do this.

  1. You either need a website to facilitate your online presence, or,
  2. you need an e-commerce website to sell your products

UKTI is collaborating with a number of international e-marketplaces such as Amazon China, Japanese e-commerce platform Rakuten, and Harper’s Bazaar, to bring a more cost-effective way of doing business online particularly for the SMEs.
